We run Andrew Robson Bridge Courses up to an advanced level. These courses are designed by Andrew and are identical to those taught at his club in Parsons Green. Each level consists of four or eight week courses.
The dates of the courses more or less coincide with those of the school term. Please see News and Events for term dates.

Lessons run from between 1.5 hours (beginners & intermediate)) to almost 2 hours for the more advanced. All courses include full notes, tea or coffee as well as membership.
- All eight week courses are £240.00
- Individual Classes are charged at £36.00 per lesson
All lessons must be booked and paid for in advance. Your place on the course is not secured until a booking form and full payment is received.
The courses are as follows:
Tuesdays - Red Defence (was Advanced Defence)

This course will fascinate you, from perfecting your use of signals to trump promotions and unusual but logical switches.
Wednesdays - Red Conventions (was Advanced Plus)

This course features Andrew's favourite conventions as well as some fascinating play and defence themes. Andrew has constructed six brand new deals for each lesson . Highlights include: the Cheat Seat - hitherto closely guarded secret for the expert; and tricky leads - what to lead without a sequence or singleton.
Thursdays - Conventions Set Hands
This course is designed so that those who have done The Red Conventions course may consolidate and revise all the topics previously covered. You will not know what hands you are getting but will be tested on how to spot the various Conventions and when to use them.
This may be taken as a whole course or, if you prefer, as individual lessons. Feel free to come to a few of these and book a separate course as well.

Fridays - Play with Confidence

This is the ideal follow-on from Essential, building on similar play themes, boosting your confidence and advancing your understanding of the game. After this consolidation course, you’ll have the confidence to finesse, overcall and defend in style, impressing your partners with the number of contracts you make.

The full timetable can be accessed by clicking here but here is a short synopsis of the term and its dates
Red Defence - Tuesdays 10.30 to 12.15: Each week, starting on 21st January 2025 half-term after the lesson on Tuesday 11th February. The course then re-convenes on Tuesday 25th February 2025 for the remaining four weeks of term.
Red Conventions - Wednesdays 10.00 to 12.15 (except 5th March there will be a double lesson finishing at 13:00): Four weeks from 15th January to 5th February 2025. There is a two week half-term reconvening Wednesday 26th February 2025. Term ends after the lesson on Thursday 20th March 2025.
Conventions Set Hands - Thursdays 10.30 to 12:15: Four weeks from 16th January 2025 to Thursday 6th February 2025 followed by a two week half-term reconvening Thursday 27th February 2025. Term ends after the lesson on Thursday 20th March .
Play with Confidence - Fridays 10.30 to 12:15: Four weeks from 17th January 2025 to Friday 7th February 2025 followed by a two week half-term reconvening Friday 28th February. Term ends after the lesson on Thursday 20th March..
